This second wine of Château Pavie-Macquin is very rich and dense with lots of ripe berries and mineral undertones. Full and very layered. Juicy finish. Almost all merlot. Drink in 2024.

A beautiful second wine, the 2016 Les Chenes de Macquin gives up loads of cassis, graphite, and minerality as well as a rich, concentrated, layered style on the palate. Showing some true Pavie Macquin character, with ample structure and depth, it's going to keep for 10-15 years.
