Tasting Notes:

Features a slightly plump core of white peach, mango and persimmon flavors, but there's good energy and nice rippling acidity to keep this moving along. The finish shows a minerally echo. Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah and Mourvèdre. Drink now. 12,500 cases made.

Tasting Notes:

Bottled just before I tasted it at the end of February, the 2017 Cotes de Provence Rose Chateau de Selle was already looking good. Cherry and pineapple flavors lead the way in this medium-bodied wine, which although silky in texture shows some grip on the finish. This should drink well through the end of 2019.

Tasting Notes:

A denser and richer rosé. Yet, it still feels bright and intense with dried strawberries and cream undertones on the palate. Full to medium body and a fresh, fruity finish. Drink now.

description Producer information Professional reviews

In 1896, after a tour of France's wine-growing areas, the young agronomist Marcel Ott arrived on the shores of the Mediterranean and finally found the wine area that most inspired him: Provence. In the heart of this famous wine region, one of the oldest in France, there is a long-standing culture of grape cultivation. But at the end of the nineteenth century, when phylloxera had destroyed all the best vine stock, the vineyards had been replanted too quickly, and so the wines they produced had little appeal. With fierce determination, Marcel Ott set about replanting all the estates with quality grape varieties so that the great wines of Provence could flourish again: authentic wines that would be worthy of this thousand-year-old tradition.
