Single Bottle - Standard - 750ml
Tasting Notes:
A fine effort from this Northern Rhône-based négociant, the 2017 Gigondas Les Reinages is a tank-aged 80-20 blend of Grenache and Syrah. Lovely raspberry fruit picks up a tinge of something herbal on the nose, while the full-bodied palate is supple, silky and loaded with red fruit. Pure and elegant, it should drink well for at least 5-6 years.
Tasting Notes:
This estate is more known for their Northern Rhône releases, yet they also fashion a bevy of terrific wines from the Southern Rhône as well. Their 2017 Gigondas Les Reinages checks in as 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah that was destemmed and spent a year in tank before bottling. This medium-bodied, rounded, supple, yet beautifully polished 2017 has the classic Provençal style of the vintage front and center in its sweet cherry and mulberry fruits, flowers, rose petal, and lavender aromas and flavors. It’s exotic, complex, and has loads of character.
