Tasting Notes:
This has black tea and smoldering tobacco aromas giving way to stylish red and black currant coulis notes. Flashes of bay leaf, alder and warm paving stone give this range. Loses a little steam through the finish. Best from 2019 through 2028.
Tasting Notes:
The 2015 Haut-Beauséjour is a blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon and 45% Merlot. It has a tightly wound, slightly subdued bouquet that just feels a little static in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp, quite fine tannin, well balanced and detailed with truffle and cedar-infused black fruit. It might lack the substance of its counterparts south in Pauillac, yet I still consider this to be a well-crafted wine that should offer a decade of pleasure.
Tasting Notes:
Based on 55% Merlot and 45% Cabernet Sauvignon aged in 30% new oak, the 2015 Château Haut Beausejour is a medium-bodied, elegant 2015 that offers a ruby/purple color, medium-bodied richness, notes of cherries, chocolate and forest floor, and good acidity on the finish. It’s not a blockbuster but has elegance and class.
