2015 Henry Fessy Fleurie Chateau Des Labourons

Single Bottle - Standard - 750ml

HK$172.00

Tasting Notes:

A juicy, open-knit red, with ample blackberry, plum and cassis fruit mixed with floral, licorice snap and zesty details. Light but grippy tannins and supple acidity frame the clean, mineral-tinged finish. Drink now through 2020. 4,000 cases made.

Tasting Notes:

The 2015 Fleurie Chateau des Labourons was 80% destemmed and raised in 50% new oak. It has a rather simple but clean nose, perhaps anonymous compared to its peers. The palate is medium-bodied with chewy tannin, the oak too dominant and controlling the characterless finish. There is nothing bad here, just a rather forgettable Fleurie.

Tasting Notes:

Very spicy and stony aromas here with the ripe dark fruits. Hints of dried flowers. Medium body, linear tannins and a savory finish. Delicious and serious. Drink or hold.

description Producer information Professional reviews

Since 1888 the Fessy family has been based in the heart of the Brouilly appellation. Over the years they have purchased choice parcels of vineyards in most of the 10 Crus and the Beaujolais-Villages appellations to create the enviable domain that we have today of nearly 70 hectares of prime vineyards. Work in our vineyards is carried out with sensitivity and intelligence and we only intervene when necessary or beneficial. This philosophy allows us to produce highly characterful wines which express a real sense of place and origin. We offer the full range of Beaujolais wines from our own vineyards each expressing their own unique terroir. Experience, tradition, respect and an in-depth knowledge of the Beaujolais vineyards go hand in hand making Henry Fessy a respected quality-driven domain.
