Single Bottle - Half Bottle - 375ml
Distinctive and stunning, this dense wine starts out syrupy, luscious and grapey, showing ripe blackberry, date and cassis flavors, with peppercorn details, that evolve to distinctive chocolate raspberry torte on the finish, with warm, firm tannins. Drink now through 2015. 164 cases made.
The 2007 To the Rescue Grenache Vin de Paille appears to be a much improved version of the 2005 Grenache Vin de Paille I tasted last year. It possesses 295 grams of residual sugar per liter as well as remarkable acidity, sweetness, and richness, an inky/purple color, and classic aromas of cassis. In spite of its weight, intensity, and unctuosity, the wine is surprisingly delicate and nuanced on the palate.

The 2009 Cristal literally shimmers on the palate, showing great depth and purity in its sumptuous layers of fruit. It is a magnificent wine endowed with superb length and exceptional overall balance. The 2009 Cristal is 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay. The percentage of wine aged in oak is 15%, which is down slightly from previous vintages.
Cristal is a remarkably balanced and refined champagne whose length is inimitable. It has a silky texture and fruity aromas, complemented by a powerful mineral quality with white fruit and citrus notes. Cristal is a wine that keeps well: it can be conserved for over twenty years without losing its freshness and character.
