2007 Amisfield Pinot Noir RKV Reserve

Single Bottle - Standard - 750ml

HK$825.00

Tasting Notes:

Deep ruby colored, the 2007 Amisfield RKV Reserve Pinot Noir has aromas of black berries, black cherries and mulberries with hints of stems, earth, moss and underbrush. Full-bodied and richly fruited in the mouth, it's showing just a hint of dried berry and savory flavor evolution, with a medium level of silky tannins, refreshing acid and a long and earthy finish. Drinking well now, it should continue to keep to 2015.

Tasting Notes:

More fruit forward style of Pinot Noir. Jammy and flavorful, with a tea leaf, tobacco and ripe fruit character. Full, with soft tannins and pretty fruit. Lots going on with this one. Drink it. SAQ Website/Find the wine

This stunning yet unforgiving high country presents its challenges. Amisfield founder John Darby – spurred on by fond memories of childhood holidays in Central Otago – was determined to master the harsh elements. By the late 1980s, he was convinced that this dramatic landscape presented the perfect conditions for cool-climate viticulture. After an exhaustive search, he discovered Amisfield Farm, formerly a merino sheep station. The first vines were planted in 1999. Nearing two decades on, they continue to thrive in these unrelenting conditions. With the team now spanning generations, it’s clear that like the mountains that surround it, Amisfield will be here for some time to come.
