The deep crimson-colored 2006 Vinedo Chadwick is a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon cuvee aged for 18 months in new French oak. It offers up an ethereal bouquet of toasty oak, scorched earth, incense, spice box, blackcurrant and blackberry reminiscent of a great vintage of Chateau Palmer (think 1961, 1966, 1970). On the palate it is silky, elegant, concentrated and already complex. With superb depth and grip, this succulent, plush effort will evolve for at least 10-15 years and offer prime-time drinking from 2020 to 2046. The vineyard for Eduardo Chadwick's namesake Vinedo Chadwick is located next to the Almaviva estate. This 32 acre hillside property in the foothills of the Andes is planted primarily to Cabernet Sauvignon with just a bit of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.Importer: Vintus Wines, Pleasantville, NY;

Haven't seen this excellent wine in a couple of vintages, and while the $180 price tag is sky high there's no denying the wine's quality, which centers around cedar and tobacco aromas and fine core fruit. Flavors and aromas of cassis, berry and plum have tobacco and balsamic accents, while the feel is warm and lush but structured.

Eduardo Chadwick Claro , president of Viña Errázuriz, is certainly one of the most important figures of the Chilean wine industry and also one of its most enthusiastic and charismatic promoters. Industrial engineer by profession, is a descendant of Don Maximiano Errazuriz and share with the founder of the vineyard the same innovative vision. Once finished his college career, Eduardo Chadwick joined the administration of Errazuriz. He learned viticulture and oenology with his father and then in Bordeaux. Such learning led him to incorporate new viticultural practices and modernize production facilities, allowing you to insert the family winery fully in the XXI century and put Chile on the world map of high quality wines. Eduardo Chadwick has also been a tireless promoter of Chile's image around the world, becoming a true ambassador of the country's potential to produce wines of high range.
