Tasting Notes:
Generous and friendly wine. Medium-garnet color. Lots of ripe fruit with a leaf and earth character. Medium- to full-bodied, with velvety tannins and a long, fruity finish.--1990 Bordeaux retrospective. Drink now. 3,000 cases made.
Tasting Notes:
The Heitz Martha's Vineyard of the Languedoc-Roussillon? The deep ruby/purple color and intense minty nose is more reminiscent of some Cabernet Sauvignons than a wine from the south of France. The blend of 40% Carignane, 20% Grenache, and the rest Cinsault and Syrah has produced a lovely, rich, modern-styled wine that recalls a Napa Cabernet. There is good depth, a medium to full-bodied, chewy texture, and light tannins in the fine finish. Importer: Val d'Orbieu Wines, Martin Sinkoff, Dallas, TX.
