Tasting Notes:

Immense and dark ruby-black in color, the nose offers mature currant, coffee, sage and dusty berry and anise flavors that have some youthful nuances. Complex and concentrated, it's well-focused and appealing, though it veers into tannic territory on the finish.--California Cabernet '74/'84/'94 retrospective. Drink now. 1,800 cases made.

Tasting Notes:

Last Tasted 10/93 Extremely backward, closed, hard, tannic, and unyielding, this behemoth of a wine exhibits a saturated purple color, a nondescript bouquet, enormously rich, concentrated flavors, and a boat load of tannin. Unless you are a masochist, do not touch a bottle before the turn of the century.
